What these posts will be about

I am going to post on a variety of topics. Most of these posts will be sent to my newsletter subscribers first, but then, after a time, they will be published online here. Most will be on fun, quirky factoids, and stories related to my novels. However, in my remaining posts, I hope to add a little perspective on some real-life challenges that my fiction only touches upon. Abuse, racism, and addiction occur with tragic frequency in real life. I certainly do not have any answers, and I am not even close to knowing all the facts. But I hope, through my writing, readers will become more comfortable addressing these topics in their more valuable conversations with family and friends. I enjoy feeling like the dumbest person in a room because it helps me be a better listener and when it comes to racism, abuse, and addiction, I certainly am (and appreciate how fortunate I am for that). I thus understand how valuable it is for me to talk less and to listen and do more.
